What Causes Pain On Palate And Stiffness In Neck?

Hi, I have a headache on the roof of my mouth. It s not in the back and has nothing to do with any kind of soreness of the throat it s just a headache right in the very roof of my mouth. My neck is sore and stiff as well. I had this 3 or 4 years ago and it was undiagnosed after many attempts. I started seeing a chiropractor and it alleviated it. Any ideas?

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of pain on palate and stiffness in neck. Well it is very important to find out the exact cause of neck stiffness, possible reasons are like injuries in/around oral cavity, muscle strains , nerve compression, cervical spondylosis.

Need not to worry. For now do stretching exercises and start physical therapy of neck. I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper diagnosis. Doctor will examine physically and can check neck movements as well. Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant and may recommend specific exercises. Doctor may also recommend physical therapy.

Hope your concern has been resolved .
