Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 76 years old and I was diagnosed two years ago with shingles in my left eye. It was cured with antiviral meds but still left me with occasional burning pain along the right side of my face. For the last 2 weeks I have had blood coming out of my right nostril when I blow my nose as well as a stuffy nose. Today the burning pain along my right face has increased. Is it possible that shingles have returned, this time to my sinuses?

Welcome to Ask a Doctor a service
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice
It may not be the viral infection (Herpes ) again but it seems to be some ocular infection. Sinusitis is likely. It can be some allergic condition as well. Initially I would advise you to try some antihistamine orally as well as eye and nasal drops to resolve the condition
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
