Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
The top of my buttcrack hurts when i sit down or lay down on my back. And when im laying down i have to slowly change position of how i want to lay. I also have to take my time getting up n it is tender to the touch. What does that mean? What can I do to make it go away?
I have studied your case and I think that there can be following possibilities. 1. It can be nerve compression in the back. I would suggest you to get MRI of the spine to see if there is any nerve compression is present and It is causing such pain. 2. It can be due to thyroid or Diabetes problem. It can be confirmed with blood sugar and thyroid examination. 3. last but least cause can be coccydynia. It is due to abnormal shape bone at the hip. it can be checked with a x ray. So I would suggest you to show it to orthopaedic surgeon and get your self properly examined. If there is any positive test than treatment can be done accordingly. thanks
