What Causes Pain, Tingling And Itching Sensation On Arms And Shoulders?

At first, about a month ago, the muscles in my arms & up my shoulders hurt, joints too, now they have been itchy & tingly, as well as other places in my body. Now inflamation has set in, Itches on both sides of my neck too, and I have vertigo which I take meclizine 12.2 for and helps a lot. Dr gave me some Naproxen 375MG, which helps with the inflamation & tingling, but now it seems I m feel like I have a fever, low grade at times, & sweaty, nauseous & where my liver & pancreas area are feels inflamed. I m am at my wits end and scared to death. I ve been looking up so many scary things it could be, but I need help! Don t seen my dr for several more days. Maybe I should go to the ER? Thank you for listening and would appreciate what you have to say.

Hi,

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms are not concerning about any serious medical disorder. The joint pain in different joints, indicates an inflammatory disease like arthritis. Fever may be part of generalized inflammation. Coming to this point, there is no need to go to the ER. I would just recommend consulting with your family doctor for a physical exam and some tests:

- complete blood count, PCR, sedimentation rate
- liver and kidney function tests
- blood electrolytes
- Rhematoid factor
- ANA, ANCA for possible autoimmune disorder
