Hi. My name is Jayson, and I m 35. I ve been dealing with digestive issues for the last ten years, and over the last three years I ve experienced weight loss in my face, but everywhere else I ve maintained and gained weight. I went to see a GI and he did some test and found that I m only absorbing about 70% of my daily fats, however all my blood work looked good. It s thought I do not have crohn s or UC, but I might have celiac or micrscopic colitis. I haven t had my tests yet and they are due the beginning of next year. That s actually not my question though. Over the last few days I ve had random sharp pains under my right rib cage, around the gall bladder area. It only seems to give me these mild pains after eating really fatty meals, and I m concerned I m going to have to have it taken out. I won t have insurance until January though as it doesn t become active until then, and I honestly want to wait until my GI sees me so that he also knows about it as well, in case he needs to do anything else prior to the whatever needs to be done, if anything, to my gall bladder. My question is, is there anything I can do to reverse the issue I m having with my gall bladder, or is it only a matter of time before surgery to remove it? I m really scared of being put to sleep and the thought freezes me. Even the idea of being put to sleep for the endoscopy scares me. I ve always worried I d be the weird patient with abnormal this and that and it just freaks me out. Anything you can tell me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
