Hi,
Thank you for your query
Your symptoms indicate gastritis and a possible Peptic or duodenal ulcers. I would also like to rule out
gall stones,
pancreatitis,
hepatitis Would you please clarify a few things for me?
1)what medications are you on for acid reflux?
2) have you had any endoscopy done?
3)do you have any other health conditions? Like
hiatus hernia, diabetes,
hypertension, heart disease?
4)do you smoke or have alcohol?
5)are you on any medications other than those for your acid reflux?
6)do you have any vomiting with or without blood? Or have very dark Greenish or blackish stools?
7)any fever? Does your pain start or worsen right after a meal (especially a fatty or a spicy one or a couple of hours later?)
I would:
- clinically examine you for abdominal tenderness, bowel sounds, liver enlargement, signs of anemia.
- do an
ultrasound of the abdomen (for any organ enlargement, gall stones) and an endoscopy to check for ulcers
-run some blood tests (
complete blood count, CRP, ESR, liver & kidney function tests, serum amylase, bilirubin levels, clotting panel).
Depending on the above results, quantity of bleeding ( if present), and any associated health conditions, I would decide on a primary immediate plan of action to control acute symptoms and a secondary definitive plan.
This may require hospitalization and/or surgery.
Medical /conservative management will be the first choice. If any indication for surgical management, the most minimal approach will be first considered.
The important thing is to see a medical professional to rule out the above problems.
Hope this helps.

Wish you good health.
