my son is 7 years old, two weeks ago, he complained of pain upon urination ( that was when he peed upon waking up), and the first few drops of his urine was chalky.....i stayed around with him the whole morning and observed for any other signs or symptoms, but he said pain is all gone and his urine color is back to normal.....but then again this morning he complained of the same thing. the pain and urine color were only when he urinated upon waking up, all throughout the day it went back to normal....tomorrow i'm taking him for U/A.....but i can't wait for that...i need answers pls????
Hello, thanks for the question. Pain while urinating can indicate urinary tract infection (UTI). Symptoms of UTI are pain while urinating, pain in lower abdomen, blood in urine (hematuria).
UTI is diagnosed by doctor with symptoms, physical examination, or urinalysis. Sometimes doctor will do ultrasound examination.
UTI is treated by antibiotic for 7 days and drink enough water to avoid the recurrent of UTI.
