What Causes Pain While Trying To Stop When Urinating?
Hi, I would like to know why it hurts me, when I force myself to stop the flow, before I am finished, when urinating. It does not happen often, example "peeing in the forest and someone is comming" but when I stop before I am finished it hurts. Is it normal ? Why ?
Hi. Read your history and understood what you want to know. IT is absolutely normal to have pain if you force yourself to stop the flow of urination in the middle. The act of urination involves three things: 1. The sphincter which hold the urine in the urinary bladder relaxes. 2. The smooth muscles of the urinary bladder start to contract to increase the pressure so that the urine is expelled out of the bladder in to the urethra. 3. The muscles of the abdominal wall help to increase the pressure n the urinary bladder assisting the expulsion of the urine.
Now, when you are trying to hold the urine during urination, you are trying to close the sphincter , but the pressure on the bladder is not released that fast. This is what causes the pain while trying to stop when urinating.
I hope this clarifies your query.
