What Causes Pain While Urination?

I had a prostate biopsy 3 weeks ago that landed me in ICU for a week fighting sepsis. My seizure from high fever was so violent they ran blood work and found I suffered a heart attack and did a heart Cath, They found a blocked artery and gave me a stent. My problem is that every time I urinate I get a pain in my penis and the pain radiates to my left buttock, I have the urge to urinate often. They ran a urine culture but it came back Ok. I can t have a CAT scan yet because it has only been 3 weeks since the heart procedure. Have you ever heard of this symptom? it is really uncomfortable.

Urologist 's  Response
Hi
It is possible that you are still recovering from the prostate sepsis you have had following the biopsy. The signs you are describing fits with an inflamed prostate in which urine culture maybe negative. This inflammation may take few more weeks to settle. Your urologist might help you with some more medications and hence contact him/her for advice.
