What Causes Painful Arm Movements After A Free Fall At Amusement Park?

Hi this is Ben. I m 25, 80 Kg with a height of 5 8. I had a ride in an amusement park where we were taken up in a row of seats attached to a 30-40 ft iron tower. Then abruptly the seats will drop as a free fall coming to a sudden halt. It has been 2 days since the ride and I have pain when i move my arms over my head or keep them in a specific angle. Is that because of the free fall?

Hello,

Without an exam, I can only give general information. Large jolts can put strains on tendons. It depends a lot on the position of the arm and shoulder.

Some possibilities are pain at the attachment of the arm to the shoulder from the rotator cuff being strained. Or pain shooting out from the neck down the arm due to a neck strain.

Most aches and pains are not due to permanent injury but obviously cannot say about yours without an examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
