What Causes Painful Bowel Movements Along With Bleeding?

Hi, I am a 15 year old female. This is embarrassing, but when I have bowel movments it hurts really badly until the next time, and it then hurts even more. There is an increasing amount of blood coming out and the pain really impacts my everyday life. Any advice/answers?

Dear- first of all, thanks for using our system HCM.It is very important to take care of your medical problem.Rectal bleeding can be from internal hemorrhoids (at your age is most common),but there are other medical conditions as colitis, polyps and perforated diverticulitis that can give the same symptoms. Also, acute bleeding gastric or duodenal ulcer can give you this problems. Due to the fact that you also have pain, it could be from colitis or colon infammation and you will need to have a CT scan of the abdomen and pelvic to evaluate this. You will need colonoscopy too. I hope my advise will be helpful . Cordially,Dr.Sara Garcia
