What Causes Painful Bumps On Tongue And Swollen Lymph Nodes Under Chin?

Two days ago I woke up with swollen glands on the base of my neck/head (in the back) and bumps on my tongue. All of which are painful. Today the lymph nodes under my chin are swollen. I don't feel sick otherwise. I'm worried about all the painful lumps/bumps.

So sorry to hear about your problem and will try my level best to resolve it..

As per your complain painful bumps over the tongue along with swollen lymph nodes under the chin are indicative of infection and can be probably due to Viral Infection causing cold sores..
It cab also be due to apthous ulcers or bullous pemphegoid..

Consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like oral swab culture and blood tests can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

In case of viral infection antiviral medications like Acyclovir, Valacyclovir along with topical antiviral ointments can be advised..

As of now you can take supportive treatment to relieve the pain symptoms like gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine..
Suck ice pops..
Do cool compresses over the lymph nodes..
Avoid spicy and hard foods..
Drink plenty of cool water..
