What Causes Painful Hunger-like Pangs In Stomach?

i've been told by doctors that i show signs of ulceration and have been treated for it once when i fell really sick. i eat regularly, although i'm not a breakfast person. i still get painful pangs in my stomach. they are like hunger pangs. what is it?
