What Causes Painful Leg Post Femur Fracture Repair With Titanium Rod?

My wife just broke her femur and tibula the did surgery the next day. They put a titanium rod in the big bone and did nothing to the other. Kept her over night and sent her home today telling her she can put up to 50 pounds of weight on that leg they also did not put a cast on just wrapped it in ace bandage is this common. She is also in a lot of pain and can t put hardly any weight on it at all

pain can be due to post bone fracture.
Inspi of putting tittitanium rod there can be early pain.
Pain will subside gradually.
do not worry ,put weight on affected limb gradually with help of walker./walking aid.
