What Causes Painful Lump In The Armpit With Fever?
Hi, My 1 year old daughter has had a fever these past two days... but today I discovered a very large (about the size of a baby's fist) red, swollen, hard, bump, on her upper arm near to her armpit... it is very painful to touch, as she screams even when I touch it lightly.. What is this????? Thank you
Hi Welcome to Healthcare-Magic Greetings of the day
Its likely to be inflammed axillary lymph node. If the fever is high possibility of axillary abscess is to be considered. Would suggest you to consult your Pediatric Surgeon for further management.
