What Causes Painful Shoulder Blade And Knee?

I have been experiencing pain in my left shoulder blade constantly and at times it jolts to a piercing pain that causes me to yell and sometimes it radiates outward and spreads to my armpit. I have also experienced the same pain in my right knee. But, consistant and prodominant in my back shoulder blade. What would be the cause of this? I have not injured that area in any way. Been hurting now for almost 3 months.

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you may be having frozen shoulder .Treatment of it is mobilizations exercises of shoulder. For pain relief you can take analgesic such as ibuprofen. Vitamin B and C are helpful in recovering. Pain of right knee can be due to osteoarthritis. You need further investigation by x ray of both knee joints in standing position. Analgesics such as diclofenac slow release tablets is helpful in pain relief. Diacerine and glucosamine sulfate protect cartilage from breakdown and help in cartilage regeneration. Quadriceps exercises is started after pain relief. Serum vitamin D test is advised and if it is low than vitamin D supplementation will be required. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful.
