What Causes Painful Tingling In Hands?

I wake up at least 7-10 times when I sleep at night. The reason I wake up is painful tingling in my mostly in my left hand, rarely in my right. There is no feeling in my hand and there is a bad tingling. I understand that if you sleep with your hand in an ackward position that could possibly cut off the blood circulation, but I guarantee you that this is not a factor. Please consult.

Hello,

As you are right that due to lack of blood circulation there might be some tingling sensation and it's good you are aware of it and that is not the case which you admitted.

So tingling in the fingers can be due to the other factor like the nerve entrapment anywhere in its course. Having doing simply gone remedy can sort out the symptoms and provide relief.

Home remedies include - hot water fermentation to the neck region, static neck exercises, shoulder stabilization exercises, biceps and triceps static strengthening exercises etc should provide relief.

Incase after the home remedy the tingling still persists then we need to look for an MRI cervical spine to rule out the nerve root entrapment due to disc compression.

In that case, exercise remains similar but we have to start with using the cervical soft collar which will help to stabilize the cervical spine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
