What Causes Painful Trapezius Muscle And Pain In Right Side Of Head?

I am researching my symptoms. Extreme pain in right trapezius at times, occasionally spreading up neck, across right side of head and into right eye. On some occasions, I get a slight pain on right side of chest. I had a c5-7 fusion in 2008 . I am fairly sure it is c4. I haven t had it lately but also had slight shortness of breath after climbing stairs and when lied on bed, gasped for air a few times to catch breath.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi
Welcome to healhcaremagic
After going through your query I concluded that you may be having cervical spondylitis with some neurological symptoms. Treatment of it is Diacerine and glucosamine. Analgesic such as ibuprofen is given for pain relief. Your are also having shortness of breath. It means you can get your cardiac function test to know heart status. You can discuss with your Doctor about it.If you have any clarification then please don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing you a good health. Take care.
