What Causes Painful Urination In A Child?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...my 11 year old son told me he has pain off and on while urinating and he said it s been going on for a couple years. Should I take him to a urologist? What might the condition be?

Hello,

As per your history, it may be due to urinary tract infection.

For that you can give syp acetaminophen.

He may require complete hemogram, urine analysis after pediatrician consultation.

Keep him hydrated. He may require antibiotics after consultation.
