What Causes Painless, Constant Twitching In Little Finger Of Left Hand?

Hello, Recently, I started noticing painless twitching in my left hand, specifically on the side of my palm under my pinky finger. Nowhere else in my body do I experience twitching. I ve noticed something like this a couple years ago and my doctor indicated it may be a pinched nerve, after some time it either went away or I forgot about it. 8 days ago after I finished lifting I noticed it started up again, i don t know if it was necessarily due to lifting. It has been rather consistent for a week now, minor twitching in that same spot but annoying. I tend to be a hypochondriac and the increased exposure of ALS made me look up the disease and needless to say I m worried a bit that twitching could be a symptom. When is it time to consider this constant twitching a cause for concern? My hand can still function for normal activities.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,
Considering that you never had a trauma to your hand which injured bones or nerves, it might actually be an irritated nerve.
It will resolve with rest, tab. Lyrica 75 mg once before bed everyday for a month.
In case you really want to know the nerve status of your limb, you can always go for a Nerve conduction study of both Upper limbs.
However, I advice you to use a different way to lift weights while working out using Wrist weights instead of dumbbells.
Good Luck !
