normal rate of heart beat per minute is 72, with a normal range of 60 to 90. when the rate of heart beat is within the normal range then heart beat is not felt by the individual. If the rate of the heart beat is increased beyond normal range then the beat is felt in the form of palpitations. This condition is known as Tachycardia. your doctor has prescribed medication for Tachycardia after thorough investigation. So don't worry and continue the medicine as advised.
