Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 57 year old woman. I recently started dieting and going to a gym. I am 5 foot 2 inches and weigh 170 pounds. I've lost 7 pounds in two months. I had my gallbladder removed two years ago due to a 2.5 cm stone. In the last 2 days I have had white feces. I am not eating particularly fatty foods but I am eating prepared foods (lean cuisine), fruits and vegetables. Should I be concerned about the feces color?
The color, consistency and appearance of stool, depends upon the diet taken. If you see the white color stool, then it could be due to diet taken. In absence of any symptoms, it is nothing to worry.
If the white color remains as it is even after changing the diet, then it would be a matter of concern. Even if you do not have any symptoms, then I would suggest you to consult the doctor, it may require few investigations.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Akhtarhusain
