What Causes Pee With Green Tinge?

I am a 42 year old female weighing 202 lbs. I have occasionly noticed that I sometime pee with green tinge. It will be a one time thing and it is followed by several days of bloating and pains over my whole body. I will gain up to ten lbs and lose it as quickly. No doctor has heard of green tinged pee and I just got back from my rhemetologist and she told me to go to UMass next time I have a flare-up.

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Green tinge urine could be due to pseudomonas infection or secondary to diet or drug intake.
2. Possibly not infection, as it would be persistent.
3. Green dye taken or metabolized within the body. Watch for your diet 12 hours prior to green tinge urine for exact identification of cause.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
