Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

I understand your concern about your child. I don't think Benadryl will cause pain over that area. Since a doctor already examined him and he is having occasionally vague pain, I don't think it's a serious thing to worry.

If there is any swelling at the shaft or any painful urination or hematuria, then he should be evaluated. The pain might be due to tight underwear and positional compression during sleep, which can be attended easily by simple changes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nirubhan Bharathy, Pediatrician
