What Causes Periods While On Depo Shot After Protected Sex?

I am on the deposit birth control Shot and I got an updated shot around Sep 16. I had protected sex last Friday but the condom pop but I dont know if he ejaculated in me or not. The following Tuesday, I got a period bit I usually don t get periods until at the end of the 3 month birth control period. The period lasted for 2 days. I don t know if I am pref p r not.

Depo-Provera shots are 99% effective in preventing pregnancy. As it is a hormonal birth control shot, its effect on menstrual cycle might vary from missing menstrual periods to breakthrough bleeding, spotting etc.

So the possibility of pregnancy is very less & bleeding you having might be a side effect of the shot.
