Discomfort in chest after stent placement can be due to several factors:
1. It might be due to another artery clogging up. For confirmation, prefer a cardiologist and get your tests done like ECG, ECHO, STRESS TMT, etc. and necessary blood work.
2. It might be due to inactivity after stent placement and thus depleted cardio pulmonary reserve (capacity to exercise), leading to pain and discomfort in chest.
3. Some patients of cardiac diseases suffer from shoulder problems like rotator cuff tendinitis, bicepetal tendinitis, or simple paraspinal muscle spasms in neck. Treating them can also relieve of discomfort.
