Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Persistent Cough Along With Dizziness And Fatigue?
I was in India about 2 weeks ago while there I began to have a tickle cough and sore throat. In addition to some gastric distress. I travel abroad extensively, so a bit of natures broom normally doesn t bother me. However, it s been over 2weeks, my cough is still persistent, I m having some lightheadedness, fatigue, chills, and joint pain. The gastric distress is not going away.
It looks like you have pharyngitis which has not yet been properly treated. If the infection spreads, it is likely to cause chills, fatigue or joint pains and symptoms like viral fever. Visit an ENT specialist and get your throat examined.
In the meantime you can take Doxycycline, Acetaminophen (Tylenol) or Paracetamol (Calpol) along with multivitamin caps Gargle with warm saline water or Listerine water.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K,
General & Family Physician
