What Causes Persistent Cough And Fever While On Motrin?

Yes my daughter has had a cough and fever for 6 days. the first day this appeared she had an intense headache that lasted 24 hours. her fever has been low grade but the last two days has gone up - for two days except when taking motrin her temperature has been 100.6 or 100.7. Ive taken for to cvs med care twice i guess i just need to take her into pediatrician its just i thought it was a virus and it would be gone at most in three days now its been 6. help

Hi,

In my clinical experience viral symptoms does not last more than three days. I suggest you to visit the pediatrician for a physical examination. Meanwhile you can give anti inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen in case of fever.
