What Causes Persistent Cough And Sneezing Despite Taking Z-pak?

Diagnosed with bronchitis, sinus infection and fluid in the ear a few weeks ago. Antibiotics finished. Better for a few days and then all bronchitis symptoms came back. This time a z pack. Done with that today and still not any better. Coughing heavy from the chest, some sneezing, bringing up white phlegm.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Since your symptoms are recurring, it would be best for you to see a doctor again for assessment.
You have likely been re infected.

In addition to antibiotics, you would likely need : (1)a course of steroids for 4 to 5 days ,
(2) medication to break up the mucus eg bisolvan, guaifenesin, mucomyst
(3) open the airways eg albuterol syrup or ventolin

Over the counter cough and cold medications would help the sneezing and any nasal congestion that may present.

I hope this helps
