What Causes Persistent Cough When Diagnosed With Bronchitis?
I was diagnosed on 9/17 with acute bronchitis. Have had 2 rounds of antibiotics and cough meds. Most of the Congestion has cleared, still cough, especially at night. I've been told it has to run its course which could be several months to six months. What other remedies can I try.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.
As per your complain cough while suffering from Bronchitis is a common symptom and you will have to follow the medications as advised like long term intake of antibiotics, decongestants.. Other remedies that can help you are steam inhalations, decongestant nasal sprays, and steroid inhalers.. You should also limit exposure to dust and polluted environment, avoid excessive cold surroundings and foods and also d warm chest compresses.. Drink plenty of warm water and avoid chilled foods.. Also get checked for allergies as it can also cause cough which can be aggressive..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora
