What Causes Persistent Fever, Diarrhea And Abdominal Pain?

Hello Dr. Rynne, I have been experiencing fever, diarrhea, stomach pains, body aches and chills for the past two days. I have been taking ibuprofen to help the pain, gatorade for the diarrhea as well as theraflu for a number of the symptoms above. Today, I noticed a hard non-movable lump behind my right ear with excruciating pain along with it. In addition to that, I have had a small non-movable lump behind left ear for about a month now. Any ideas?

Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of fever, diarrhea, stomach pains, body aches and chills for 2 days, taking Ibuprofen, Gatorade and Theraflu.
Today noticed a hard non-movable lump behind right ear with excruciating pain along with it and have a non-movable lump behind left ear for about a month.
The painful swelling behind the right lump is most probably a lymph node which seems to be infected hence you may need an additional antibiotic and to continue Ibuprofen and other medications as you are already taking.
It would be wise to send the samples of stool, urine and stool for tests, the reports of which along with the clinical evaluation by your Doctor will help to get a proper diagnosis and treatment.
