What Causes Persistent Fever, Headache And Tiredness?

Hello Doctor, I am having continuous fever for the past 5 days. Fever is constant between 100-101 Farhenite. Other symptoms are headache,tiredness,loss of appetite, constipation (earlier). I consulted a doctor and he did not say what i was suffering from but he put me on to Cepodem XP 325 (Cefpodoxime Proxetil & Potassium Clavulanate) tabs. I am having this antibiotic for the past 3 days but the fever is still there 100-101, doesnt vary much. Now i have loose stomach too. I am not sweating as i should in this kind of fever. On the contrary I sweat when i eat food...that too from the forehead only! I am having atleast 2 ltrs of water daily but still no sweating...I keep my body covered with a blanket and a quilt but then also there is no sweating....isnt that strange.. Please suggest

It may be viral fever or may be one of the endemic disease from your area. I would recommend do undergo complete blood count to check your White blood cell and differential wbc count. Your platelet count need to be checked to rule out malaria and dengue. Get your malarial parasite test and urine routine examination done. Till that time continue antibiotic given by your doctor. Take paracetamol 1 tablet 3 times a day. Do not cover your body with blanket. Ensure your intake of fluids is adequate.
