Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

I understand your question and would explain that your symptoms could be related to a metabolic cause (chronic anemia, iron defficiency, etc.).

But an intracranial lesion (tumor, infection, etc.) can not be excluded either, considering your history for trigeminal neuralgia, which is not typical for your age.

I recommend consulting with a neurologist for a careful neurological exam and performing a brain MRI to exclude possible intracranial lesion.

Other blood lab tests (complete blood count, blood electrolytes, PCR, sedimentation rate) are also necessary to exclude possible metabolic causes underlying this symptomatology.

Hope to have been helpful!

Best wishes,

Dr. Aida
