General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms of your mother's seem to be related to rheumatoid arthritis .
I suggest to check the rheumatoid factor level for further evaluation and to confirm the diagnosis.
Meanwhile,I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain.
I also suggest cold compresses for local application and gentle stretching exercises.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
