What Causes Persistent Low Blood Sugar In A Newborn?

Hi I have a new born baby boy born on 5-aug-2016 at BHCS hospital. After born, the doctor took the baby to NICU due to low blood sugar. Today is 10th day; still hospital is not discharging the baby and saying blood sugar is still low. I m guessing bhcs is unnecessarily kept the baby more days for money. Please suggest urgently what should i do? Pediatric Associates is under my UHC insurance. Should I come to you? Please suggest urgently.

H,

Ask for reports from the doctor as persistent low sugar demotes infection or liver pathology.
At 10 days, low sugar is not good.
Consult any other pediatrician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
