What Causes Persistent Pain In Shoulder After The Disc Replacement Surgery?
Dear Dr.I am 30 yers old last since 3 years cervical spondylysis and i very long time treatment for ex.traction, tens, massage, ayurvedic medicine, yoga, alopathy medicine but not relif f so last 1 year ago c6c7 disc replacement surgery (titanium disc) done.but after 2 month neck heavy pain shoulder pain repeatly.now only dazzle oil massage daily but pain not stop. So suggest me your experiance Thanks.
I have studied your case and i think that there can be two reasons of this. Either there is still nerve compression in the neck which is not relieved with surgery. Other cause can be that there can be a different pathology in your shoulder like nerve compression. I would recommend you to get a MRI of the neck and shoulder to confirm the diagnosis. If there is nerve compression present then it might need repeat surgery. Till than you continue physiotherapy.
