What Causes Persistent Sinus Infection Along With Diarrhea And Headaches?

I have had a sinus infection for over 5 weeks. I have been prescribed three antibiotics and two rounds of prednisone. Now I am still having issues with congestion and added to that: diarrhea, stomach pain, and sever headaches. Having issues when coughing. I do have an appointment on Thursday with my ENT. I do receive allergy shots and take singular and nasacort daily.

Hello,

You have been prescribed an antibiotic course and decongestant for your sinusitis and congestive symptoms. You are using the nasal spray as well. The steroid is a very potent anti-inflammatory drug.

So now nothing is to be done for your congestion. Gradually with time, it will be resolved. Steam inhalation and saltwater gargles are to be done. Take one tsp turmeric powder with milk daily.

Avoid the intake of excess spicy foods. Diarrhea and stomach pain could be due to gastritis for which Symptomatic management is to be done with more water and electrolyte.

If no improvement in diarrhea than stool routine micro examination should be done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
