What Causes Persistent Stiffness And Weakness In Thighs?
Hello, My husband is experiencing ongoing weakness in both thighs, starting 6 weeks ago and finds walking, especially on the flat, more of an effort. he is 71 with no health problems..active over the years, an avid tramper... and seems to be able to walk hills with no great problem. Says there is no pain just stiffness and weakness. walking like a duck now. is Dr thinks it is just ageing. I wonder if there is something else going on. What do you think?
You are suggested to check the vitals of your husband, they should be normal. Make sure his BP, blood glucose level, body electrolyte system is normal.
Help him stay well hydrated & give him home made nutritious food. However, you are suggested to get him clinically examined by a GP.

Hello, You are suggested to check the vitals of your husband, they should be normal. Make sure his BP, blood glucose level, body electrolyte system is normal. Help him stay well hydrated & give him home made nutritious food. However, you are suggested to get him clinically examined by a GP. Get all the blood tests, Urinalysis & required Imaging tests done to rule out developing peripheral neuropathy, MS, RA, OA, thyroid issues, Neuromuscular diseases, such as myasthenia gravis. Get him treated at the earliest, his treatment will depend on the clinical condition & pathology detected. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
