What Causes Pinkish Fluid Discharge From Anus In A Child?

Hello, my 3 year old boy has just started potty training and tried to wee on the toilet. He couldnt do a wee, and was straining and a tiny droplet of pinkish fluid came out and no more after this? I have never seen this in his nappy either...should I be worried about this? thank you clare

Hi, welcome to HCM.
A tiny drop of pinkish fluid in a 3 year old at the time of stool could be due to the type of food he has eaten. Since, there is no fever, pain abdomen, or other complaints it seems unlikely to be infective in nature.
I think you need not to worry about this.
To be more sure, you can do stool routine microscopy test.
