What Causes Pins And Needles" Sensations In Hands And Arms Along With Nerve Pain In Lower Back?

I have been waking up with "pins and needles" sensations in my hands and arms for the last few months - never before. I have also been feeling carpal-tunnel-like sensations in my right forearm and had a ganglian cyst in my right wrist fo about a year last year, which went away after I got replaced my Blackberry with a Samsung touch phone (much less and slower emailing). I also have had nerve pain in my lower back since I was a kid (I am 50) and have had what feels like nerve pain issues in my irght calf and my hips (either that or arthritis) since I gave birth to my daughter at 41. I've mentioned the leg complaints to my doctor, who told me, after examining me, that I am healthy and i don't exercise enough. However, the hands falling asleep at night is a new symptom, and somewhat worrisome.

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
The pain you have,, must not be due to the condition you are thinking about neither you have such disease (Carpel tunnel syndrome) if you do have Ganglionic cyst then this does not cause any kind of pain, this types of pain does not have any pathology and these are the kind of nonspecific pain and will give good response to any NSAID, and the best drug would be "Diclofenac and Acetaminophen" along with this I would advise you to have Amitriptyline with Diazepam this will relieve your never pain, take care and have best luck.
