What Causes Polyps In The Duodenum?

Ny husband has a large polyp in his Duodernun. He is over wieght and has hada heart ac=ttack plus he has trouble breathing and he smokes. The doctors want to operate they did a biopsy and it cam back negative what do you think he should do.

Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about your husband about suffering from duodenal polyp which is not cancerous as per the biopsy report, smokes, had heart attack, there is also breathing trouble.
The Duodenal polyp could have been removed endoscopically as it is benign.
I would advise him the following:
Stop smoking altogether as he had heart attack.
To continue the cardiac medicines religiously.
Consult another Endoscopist who is known to tackle the duodenal polyp by Endoscope.
Re-get the histo-pathology reports and decide the further course of management if anything specific is found.
Yes, obviously the weight should also be reduced by proper diet control and exercises.
