What Causes Poor Memory And Fatigue While On Metoprolol?
my mom is 83 with bad COPD, had a small clot in lung after a hip replacement, Doctor started her on Elequis sense then she has been hospitalized twice, last time for 3wks had to take her off the Elequis because of a bleed from a mistake on a IV then put her back on it after I asked it use something else, she is sleepy all the time, forgetful (was not at all before) now she is depressed, Two days ago they put her on Metoprolol because they said her heart rate was alittle fast. now she is more forgettful and tired, moody. have stay at hospital most of the time to watch her

welcome to hcm ..as general rule metoprolol is associated with decreased mental and physical ability in majority patients but it was advised to take care of fast heart rate ..please ask your doctor to lower dosage of metoprolol ..donot do it yourself ..please vote if you find my answer as helpful to you
