What Causes Popping In Right Knee?

Hi. I have osteo-arthritus and I am 39.Doctor says I am too young for surgery. My knees dont swell but the right one pops alot. I was getting shots but he says they are eating up the tissue I have left. I want the popping to stop but he says it wont. I am now taking Meloxicam pills.
