What Causes Popping In The Ears And Stiffness In The Neck?

I am 33 yrs, 5, 2 in height and 125lbs. I have been having a problem with my ears popping, a stiff heavy feeling in neck travelling all the way up my head with slight dizziness. Sometimes the stiffness extends all the way to my throat. Please advise what could be the reason for this problem.

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Eustachian tube dysfunction or viral infection lead to Popping sound in the ears. Avoid cool drinks and freeze water, avoid smoking and caffeine drinks.

Use water vapour inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for 5 days. Use tablet Levocetrizine and Montelukast daily at night for 5 days.

If symptoms do not improve, please consult your ENT specialist who will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
