What Causes Popping Sound From The Tailbone Area?

Hello. My question is related to my lower sacral/tailbone area. When I sit I get a tight uncomfortable feeling that is only relieved by flexing my thigh and buttock muscles and essentially cracking the pressure away. My concern is what could be causing this and the strange popping and crunching noises.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a ligament related problem.

Consult an orthopedic and get evaluated.
You can go for an MRI scan for further assessment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
