What Causes Positive Pregnancy Test Despite An Abortion?
hi my wife had an abortion around 10 days ago and we took a pregnancy test today and it showed positive (faint line). Is there a possibility she could still be pregnant or is it just some residual HCG still in her body? How long do we have to wait before we get a correct result for the test?

Pregnancy test can read positive even after an abortion or delivery until the hCG levels drop completely. This may take 2-3 weeks. the test may be repeated after another week. If the abortion has been medically supervised and completion of the process ensured, there is no reason to worry. Proper follow up is sufficient.
