What Causes Post Nasal Drip And Lump In Throat After Taking Fosamax Tablet?

I ve been taking fosamax for almost 10 months. About 3 weeks ago, I started having serious post nasal drip, feeling like I have a lump in my throat. I also feel tingling in my lower left arm. Is this fosomax related? I ve stopped taking it. I am an otherwise very healthy 64 year old female.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Fosamax is not normally associated with post nasal drip as a side effect though everyone reacts differently to medication.

If you were somewhat allergic to it then it may manifested as a post nasal drip.
It is also not associated with abnormal sensation either so another cause would need to established eg (1)arthritis of the neck/ shoulder or elbow region compression a nerve,
(2)vitamin b12 or folate deficiency
(3)diabetes
(4)liver or kidney disease
(5)neurological disease

Blood tests may need to be done.

I hope this helps
