What Causes Pregnancy Symptoms While HPT Being Negative?

i was on the depo shot and missed my shot 5 months ago and since I ve been off it I haven t had a period in these 5 months. I recently had unprotected sex and and have been having pregnancy symptoms like being tired, moody, and threw up once in the morning. I also had like a 1 day period. I took a pregnancy test and it came up negative. Why would I be having these symptoms if I had a negative test? And will my periods be normal again?

Hello
Chances of pregnancy are always there with unprotected sex especially during fertile periods
And as per details you have provided chances are enjoying still there for pregnancy
Urine HCG pregnancy test may come negative as well due to low concentration or high dilution in urine which comes positive only after 10 t0 14 days of conception.

If I were your treating doctor I would have advised you for an ultrasound to rule out pregnancy and at the same time to look for any obvious cause for symptoms you are having.

Apart from USG you should go for urine culture and sensitivity test and a course of antibiotics if it comes positive, under supervision of your doctor

Have plenty of fluids
Avoid fried spicy and junk food,
have lots of fresh fruits and vegetables
