What Causes Pressure In Head Followed By Loose Bowel Movements?
Hi there,i have been suffering with a pressure feeling in my head. Its nothing like a headache, i have had my fair share of them!its completely different and hard to explain. not long after i first had this feeling i had a very heavy nose bleed. This was 2 days ago. I am still suffering from the pressure feeling, but now my bowels have become loose.any help on what could be the cause of this would be much appreciated.many thanks and hope to hear back soon
Dear- Diarrhea can give you this pressure feeling in the head, which most likely is secondary to abnormal levels of the electrolytes like sodium, potassium and chloride that are eliminated in the diarrhea. Dehydration , which is a complication of diarrhea, can give you this fullness sensation in the head too. It is important to keep a good hydration and see your doctor if no improvement of your symptoms after 48 hrs.Hope I have been helpful. Dr.Sara
