What Causes Pressure In Lower Belly Area With Back Pain?
I have a lot of pressure in my lower belly area. I feel if I urinate I would release some of the pressure but it doesn t help. I do feel some extra pressure right at the end of voiding. I feel bloated and because of all the lower belly pressure I can t eat much. I m having lower back pain also. I had a U/A done and it was negative, so no bladder or kidney infection. Any idea?
Dear- thanks for using our service and understand your concern. If you don't have an infection you can have problem emptying the bladder, which makes you feel the pressure that you are describing.Sometimes the muscle of the bladder become "lazy" and don't expand and contract the way that it should and that creates this pelvic pressure. Other possibility is that you have a reflex pain, which not necessary is coming from your urinary system but from your back, a pinched nerve can have roots that go to the pelvic area and produce the pain. Gas from the intestine can give you the same too. I recommend you to go to the bathroon when you feel like it,do not hold the urine, if you still with the symptoms, go to your doctor for a empty bladder ultrasound and complete evaluation. I hope that my advise has been helpful. Dr.JC
